Tony Bellew and Brennan Johnson react to James Garner’s Everton update
Everton midfielder James Garner’s latest update has attracted significant attention on social media.
Garner has become an important player for the Toffees since joining from Manchester United in 2022, and he made 21 Premier League appearances last season.
The 24-year-old established a rich vein of form during the closing stages of last term, helping David Moyes’ men finish 13th after they were previously in a relegation battle under former boss Sean Dyche.
Garner will now hope to help Everton continue progressing in the Premier League at their new Hill Dickinson Stadium next season.

However, since joining the Merseyside club three years ago, the former Watford man has yet to display his attacking qualities, having scored just two goals in 84 appearances.
Garner produced just one assist in 23 outings across all competitions last season, also failing to get himself on the scoresheet.
Meanwhile, during his loan spell with Nottingham Forest in the 2021/22 season, he scored four goals and provided 10 assists, which contributed to the East Midlands club’s promotion to the Premier League.
While Garner showed his creative class in the Championship, he has not yet reached such heights in the top flight, and Moyes will hope for more from the midfielder next season.
Elsewhere, the Toffees have been tipped to sign Villareal forward Thierno Barry by Wednesday, 9 July, in a Goodison News exclusive.
