Top Leeds United youngsters may quit for triple-your-money deals after Marcelo Bielsa confession – pundit
Gabby Agbonlahor has suggested Leeds United may lose their best young talents to rival Premier League clubs because they cannot match their potential salaries elsewhere.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker suggested young players may want to leave Leeds because they can treble their wages at other clubs.
As quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post earlier this month (7 February), Marcelo Bielsa revealed 10 players wanted to leave Elland Road in the January window.

That includes 20-year-old winger Crysencio Summerville who was a target for a number of European clubs on loan.
He has played eight times this season, including five Premier League appearances.
“Maybe Leeds have a structure where they cannot offer the money that other clubs can,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“Maybe they like to keep the youngsters on a certain wage where other Premier League clubs might be able to offer triple or double that money, and that could see them leave.
“Nowadays with agents, that’s what they are looking for to give their clients, no matter what age they are.
“What is strange about it is that Leeds do play young players so you’d think it would be a good place to be if you want to make your debut.
“Where else are you going to go in the Premier League where you are going to play any more minutes?”

Leeds allowed Cody Drameh to join Championship side Cardiff City on loan during the January window.
They did not bring in any senior players during the winter window.
