‘Totally unacceptable’ – Rangers fans react to astonishing Collymore Twitter rant

Stan Collymore has launched an astonishing attack on Rangers on Twitter – and Gers fans have destroyed the pundit after his incendiary comments.

Collymore had bizarrely claimed on his personal Twitter account that the Ibrox giants had been founded to “promote an image of superiority” – despite huge amounts of research into the founding of the Light Blues which show that to be massively wide of the mark.

Collymore signed off the message inviting the club to sue him if he’s wrong.

Gers fans were quick to put Collymore right on Twitter – with one fan pointing out an interview in which Collymore professes his love for the Gers.

Another fan said that it was a sunny day and already two Rangers critics – Chris Sutton and Stan Collymore – we’re peddling their usual lies about the club.

Here are some of their comments on Twitter:

Many Gers fans are also hopeful that the club takes Collymore up on his wish to be sued after his defamatory – and hugely inflammatory comments.

And another Rangers fan pointed out the treatment of Nir Bitton at Celtic as proof of Collymore’s hypocrisy.

Despite Collymore’s ridiculous claims otherwise, the Ibrox giants have had Catholics – and Irish ones at that – feature for the club throughout their history.

One was Pat Lafferty who played for the Light Blues in their run to the FA Cup semi-final before Celtic had even been formed.
