Tottenham £20m offer for French sensation could be accepted – sources
Tottenham are weighing up a potential move for Lorient striker Eli Junior Kroupi, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the Ligue 2 outfit would “consider selling him for the right price.”
£20million is believed to be a fee that Lorient are willing to accept for his services in the January transfer window.
However, well-placed sources revealed to Football Insider that Tottenham cannot afford that type of move for a signing that would be seen as for the future.
The 18-year-old is enjoying a breakout year this season for Lorient, with his performances helping them to the top of Ligue 2.
Tottenham face competition to sign Eli Junior Kroupi
Spurs are not the only club interested in signing Kroupi as he is currently regarded as one of the brightest young talents coming out of France.
RB Leipzig have been “very keen” on signing him during this transfer window while Bournemouth are also in the market for a striker.

The teenage sensation is under contract with Lorient until 2026, which could lead to the French outfit looking to cash in on him.
The striker has scored nine goals and provided two assists in 17 Ligue 2 appearances this season.
