Tottenham accept Bryan Gil offer – sources

Tottenham have accepted a loan offer from Girona for Bryan Gil, sources have told Football Insider.

Gil, 23 is set to fly out to his native Spain for a medical and to put the finishing touches to his third loan move since joining Spurs in 2021.

Football Insider revealed (July 23) that Spurs were open to letting Gil leave the club following his omission from their pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea.

The loan fee is expected to be over £1million as Gil now looks set to leave the Tottenham Hotspur stadium for the Champions League club.

It’s been a relatively quiet transfer window for Spurs so far this summer with the club yet to sign anyone over the age of 18.

Bryan Gil set to leave Tottenham for Girona

Gil joined Tottenham back in 2021 for a £21.6m fee with Erik Lamela moving to Sevilla as part of the deal but has only made 43 appearances for the club, failing to score a single goal.

During his loan spells at Valencia and Sevilla, Gil made a combined 41 appearances and only managed to score twice.

After his omission from Spurs’ pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea, it’s clear that the club no longer believes Gil can contribute to the team.

Spurs recently landed in Seoul following their 3-2 victory against Japanese side Vissel Kobe and are set to play the K-League All-Stars on August 31st.

In other news, Spurs are battling it out with Liverpool to sign 43-goal forward.
