Liverpool and Tottenham stars react to Enzo Fernandez’s passionate Chelsea message
Tottenham and Chelsea players were among those to react to Enzo Fernandez’s message following Chelsea’s Club World Cup triumph.
Chelsea were crowned Club World Cup champions after a commanding 3-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain on 13 July.
Cole Palmer produced a sensational display, scoring twice in quick succession during the first half before assisting new signing Joao Pedro to cap off a dominant performance.
PSG were reduced to 10 men after Joao Neves was sent off for violent conduct, and former PGMOL chief Keith Hackett has since predicted the midfielder will face a further suspension.
Still, Chelsea’s players were all in celebration after securing their second piece of silverware under Enzo Maresca.
Fernandez started alongside Moises Caicedo in midfield and delivered another composed and commanding display. The Argentine marked the occasion with a heartfelt message on social media, reflecting on the achievement.

Chelsea stars and rivals react as Enzo Fernandez celebrates Club World Cup triumph
Fernandez shared his celebrations with fans after Chelsea’s emphatic Club World Cup victory, posting a series of photos from the jubilant dressing room, including moments with the trophy itself.
He captioned the post: “CHELSEA! CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD!”
The message received widespread support across the football world, with fellow Argentines Cristian Romero of Tottenham, Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister and Emiliano Martinez among those who liked the post.
Several Chelsea teammates also showed their appreciation, including Liam Delap, Pedro and Christopher Nkunku, who continues to be linked with a move away from the club.
Fernandez has played a pivotal role in Chelsea’s Club World Cup campaign, scoring twice and registering six assists. He has formed a commanding midfield partnership with Moises Caicedo, a duo manager Maresca has clearly come to trust.
Christopher Nkunku linked with Chelsea exit amid Man United interest
While Nkunku was quick to support Fernandez’s celebrations, his own future at Stamford Bridge remains uncertain.
The French forward was left out of Maresca’s starting XI for the final and has struggled for consistent minutes throughout the season as he made just nine Premier League starts last term.
Former chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Manchester United retain strong interest in Nkunku, and the forward could be open to a summer move.
This comes after Football Insider revealed Nkunku is considering leaving Chelsea due to limited game time, especially following the arrivals of Delap and Pedro – both of whom appear to have leapfrogged him in the pecking order.
