Tottenham backed to complete Weston McKennie signing after ‘major’ update – Robinson
Paul Robinson has claimed Juventus midfielder West McKennie would be a welcome addition at Tottenham in the new year.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one suggested the 24-year-old is capable of improving current Antonio Conte’s starting XI.
According to Tuttosport, via The Spurs Web (4 December), Spurs are interested in signing McKennie heading into the January transfer window.

Juventus are said to be willing to part ways with the USA international as they pursue other targets.
McKennie’s contract in Turin runs until the end of June 2025.
When asked by Football Insider if the centre-midfielder would be a welcome addition at Hotspur Way, Robinson said: “I think McKennie would add something to the midfield.
“Spurs have to be careful of just amassing players though. They have got a decent squad. They have got to sign players who are going to improve their starting XI now. I know there will be rotation with the Champions League but it’s about quality not quantity in the next few transfer windows.

“West McKennie is a player I like. He is someone who would fit Conte’s style of play. He has the right attitude and physical attributes.
“I was very impressed with him in the World Cup. Spurs are no longer looking for cheap buys. They are looking for top players who are going to make a major impression on the team.”
