Tottenham bid for Traore thrills pundit as they look to blow Liverpool out of the water

Paul Robinson has claimed Adama Traore would “fit right into” Tottenham as Nuno Espirito Santo plots a late-window move.

The former England goalkeeper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the Wolves winger had “really improved in recent years”.

Football Insider has been informed by a Tottenham source that Wolves have rejected a loan-to-buy bid for Traore.

This site also understands Liverpool are keen to sign the Spain international and have been in contact with Wolves over a potential last-gasp deal.

Traore has two years left on his contract at the Midlands club, with whom he signed for £18million in 2018.

Robinson thinks Traore would be great business for Tottenham, branding the winger a “constant threat”.

“He’s a player that I like. I think he has really improved in recent years,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.

“I think before his main attribute was his raw pace, but now there’s an end product to his game.

“He brings a lot more to the team than pace. He’s a constant threat, he can turn attack into defence very quickly.

“Nuno knows him very well, and I think he would fit right into the system they play.

Traore grabbed three goals last season to take his senior tally to 25 in 284 games.

After coming through La Masia’s ranks, the 25-year-old had spells at Aston Villa and Middlesborough before settling in the old gold of Wolves in the top flight.

Tottenham have been boosted by the arrival of Cristian Romero, Bryan Gil, and Pierluigi Gollini so far this summer.

Harry Kane also confirmed yesterday (August 25th) that he would be remaining in North London this season.

In other news, this ex-manager says Spurs fans will be delighted with club chief Daniel Levy.
