Tottenham news: Medical expert issues ‘huge’ verdict after Antonio Conte admits ‘I need help’
Tottenham boss Antonio Conte may have lashed out at his medical staff because of the “huge pressure” he is under.
That is the view of injury expert Ben Dinnery, who runs the Premier Injuries site and has a background in medicine and data analysis.
Oliver Skipp and Japhet Tanganga are likely to miss Spurs’ clash against Everton on Monday (7 February) with respective groin and knee issues.

Per The Express last Friday (25 February), Conte said: “I don’t want to put pressure on the medical staff but for sure I need help with the situation.”
Tottenham were knocked out of the FA Cup by second-tier Middlesbrough on Tuesday (1 March) and their league form is patchy at best.
Dinnery claims that Conte’s rhetoric can be explained by his frustration boiling over.
“He is frustrated and disappointed and he understands the enormity of the task at hand,” he told Football Insider‘s Adam Williams.
“With any injury of any player, it’s always a time-crunched environment. You’re under huge pressure.
“When you’re talking to stakeholders within the club, everyone is asking you when they will be ready to return. You’re constantly fighting fires.
“But the medical department and the sports science team want to ensure a player stays fit when they stay fit. It’s a fine balance.
“But rarely are those players afforded the luxury of time to do that. Conte may want to freshen things up given their current run of form.
“That may be why he has pushed this rhetoric. I think this shows it was frustration on his behalf.
“It doesn’t matter how much technology has come along, the body heals how it heals. Conte understands that.”

Rodrigo Bentancur and Lucas Moura are expected to return from minor setbacks against Everton.
Conte’s side could begin the game against the Toffees in 8th place depending on results this weekend.
