Tottenham could have ‘£20m’ Wilfried Zaha offer accepted after source’s reveal – Agbonlahor

Crystal Palace could sell Wilfried Zaha to Tottenham for £20million in the January transfer window, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker suggested Palace will do everything they can to keep hold of Zaha unless they are presented with a “ridiculous” offer.

The 30-year-old is out of contract at Selhurst Park at the end of the season with his long-term future up in the air as he has rejected a number of new deals.

Sources told Football Insider earlier this week (13 December) that Tottenham are interested in signing the forward on a free transfer in the summer.

There is expected to be a major battle for his signature at the end of the season between Premier League clubs.

Asked whether Tottenham could steal a march on their rivals and agree a deal in January, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “I don’t think so, to be honest.

“When you’ve got a player like Zaha why would you let him go?

“You could £10million in January and yes, it’s £10million, but what he can offer for those six months could be the difference between staying in the division and not.

“I think they’ll keep him unless they get a ridiculous fee. If you’re looking at £20million, they might be like ‘Ok, that’s enough compensation’.

“At the moment, I don’t see Palace selling him, they’ll want to keep him and get as much out of him as they can.”

Zaha scored six goals and provided two assists in 13 top flight games in the first part of the season.

The Ivory Coast international has 110 goal contributions in 291 Premier League appearances across his career.

In other news, a club is close to signing a Tottenham sensation and a 1 January move is expected.
