Tottenham could hijack Chelsea’s Nike deal after talks held – Kieran Maguire

Tottenham can “leapfrog” Chelsea if they successfully hijack a £60million kit manufacturer deal with Nike Jordan.

That is the view of finance expert Kieran Maguire, who exclusively told Football Insider that the value of Tottenham’s current kit deal with Nike is “significantly behind” Chelsea.

As revealed by Football Insider on Thursday (14 March), Tottenham are in a position to hijack a £60million per season deal with Jordan after they held talks with Chelsea.

The US sports brand are eager to partner with a Premier League side located in London.

Tottenham could hijack Jordan sponsorship deal to ‘leapfrog’ Chelsea

Chelsea have held talks over a deal but concerns are growing about their lack of involvement in European competitions in recent seasons.

Spurs are already partnered with Nike and signed a 15-year extension to their deal in 2018.

Maguire said Spurs are “superbly run” and could use the Jordan deal to expand their off-pitch growth.

If Spurs get a sponsorship deal with Jordan Nike then that would be a boost for them,” Maguire told Football Insider’s Sean Fisher.

They are currently significantly behind Chelsea in terms of the value of their existing Nike deal and this is an opportunity to leapfrog their London rivals.

Everybody knows that Tottenham as a business are superbly run and therefore I’m sure that they will be in tough negotiations with anybody willing to be involved as their kit manufacturer.

But it’s a competitive market and to a certain extent, Jordan Nike would be in a position to call the shots.
