Tottenham could seal ‘bargain’ Aouar signing after Romano update – Robinson
Tottenham would be getting a “bargain” if they signed Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar for around £25million, according to Paul Robinson.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one suggested the 23-year-old would be a welcome addition to Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
According to Fabrizio Romano (25th August), Aouar has been offered to both Spurs and Arsenal ahead of Tuesday’s transfer deadline.

However, the centre-midfielder is “not a priority” for Tottenham currently.
ESPN reported earlier in the window (July 7th) Lyon would demand a fee of around £21.5million for Aouar.
He has two years remaining on his contract.
When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs if he would welcome the arrival of Aouar, Robinson said:
“When you look at the current market, you would probably say that’s a bargain. That type of price for that type of player is not a risk.
“Tottenham would be getting a top-quality player and a player of similar quality would probably cost £50-60million.

“The worth of a player now is often reliant on the buying power of the club. We have seen the likes of Nathan Ake go for £40million and when Man City are involved it is going to be a lot more. Not many clubs in the Premier League would have paid £40million for Ake.
“If Spurs could get Aouar for less than £25million it would be good business.”
