Tottenham could seal ‘massive’ double deal after update on Denzel Dumfries and teammate – Robinson
Paul Robinson has claimed the signings of Denzel Dumfries and Stefan de Vrij would “make a massive difference” to Tottenham.
However, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England number one conceded both deals would be difficult to complete in the mid-season window.
Spurs are in the market for defensive reinforcements this month.

According to Inter Live, via The Spurs Web (2 January), Antonio Conte wants Inter Milan stars Dumfries, 26, and De Vrij, 30.
De Vrij has entered the final six months of his contract at the San Siro and could be signed for a cut-price fee this month.
However, Dumfries would likely command a sizeable fee with his current deal running until the end of June 2025.
When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of the latest, Robinson said: “Dumfries would make a huge difference.
“De Vrij is also a top player but they can probably get away with the centre-halves they have got until the end of the season.
“Right wing-back is one of the top priorities. It’s obvious that Conte is looking in that area.

“If they could get both those players through the door it would be a massive difference. It seems unlikely they would be able to in January though.
“Both players are proven at the very top level. They both know the system so you would expect them to settle in quickly. That is why the manager probably wants them.”
In other news, a source has revealed that Tottenham have submitted a verbal offer for one of Brighton’s star players.
