Tottenham could yet seal Michael Carrick-esque signing after meeting held – expert
Tottenham will revisit the signing of Anthony Gordon from Everton at a later date.
That is the view of former White Hart Lane number one Paul Robinson, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about interest from Spurs in the 21-year-old.
As reported by the Evening Standard (30 June), Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy and his Everton counterpart Bill Kenwright held talks last week.

Shortly after the meeting, Spurs announced the signing of Richarlison on a five-year contract.
According to Football.London‘s Alasdair Gold (30 June), Gordon is also of interest to Spurs.
The winger is said to be keen to move to north London but will not force an exit from his boyhood club.
When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of the latest, Robinson said: “There was a meeting.
“Daniel Levy and Bill Kenwright seemingly had dinner and I suspect Gordon was a player who came up in conversation.
“He is the type of player that Daniel loves signing for Tottenham. A young, talented English player.
“It would be similar to the way he signed me, Michael Carrick, Jermain Defoe, Aaron Lennon and Kyle Walker.
“Gordon would be that type of player – exciting with lots of potential. He would be the perfect fit for Spurs.

“I understand why he doesn’t want to leave Everton but if Tottenham are challenging right at the top of the Premier League it would be an attractive proposition.
“I suspect there would have been a conversation about Gordon and his future. I’m sure that move will be revisited in the coming years.”
In other news, Tottenham have been backed to seal a deal for a ‘brilliant’ Alessandro Bastoni alternative after Sky update.
