Tottenham expert by update on Troy Parrott’s future -‘how can you say that?’

Troy Parrott’s long-term Tottenham future has not been decided despite reports to the contrary.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

On 31 March, The Athletic reported Parrott, 20, will be loaned out again next season as he is not considered a future first-teamer.

It was also claimed he has not spoken to Antonio Conte since he replaced Nuno Espirito Santo in November.

Parrott has scored two goals in his last two games at MK Dons and Wenham struggles to believe any decision has been made over his long-term future.

“I’m really, really pleased for Troy, he’s been in good form this season and now he’s getting his rewards,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“I am hoping he is getting that loan move to the Championship next year, that would be the best thing for him.

“In that Athletic article, there is a bit about him not having a future at Tottenham.

“I didn’t relay that on my channels because I don’t know how true that is.

“If Conte hasn’t spoken to him, on what basis can he say he has no future at the club.

“He will come back to the club in the summer and he will be evaluated then.

“The manager changed in November, Nuno sent him out on loan. So how can Conte have made a decision?

“I really don’t know about that one. How can you say that he has no future?”
