Tottenham expert can’t believe what he’s just heard from irate fans
Tottenham deserved to beat Nottingham Forest and are playing well despite concerns from fans.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Tottenham won 2-0 at the City Ground as their unbeaten start to the season continued.
Despite the club’s best start for over a decade, Wenham has still seen some fans who are concerned.
“It’s our best start for 13 years,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“But there is this feeling among the fans, you see things on social media, that we aren’t playing well or that we are hard to watch.
“I really don’t get that. To me, Forest had won eight in a row at home, going into the fixture. I appreciate some of those were in the Championship but you do build a fortress at home and an expectation to win.
“They have signed a load of players this summer, spent an absolute fortune and we limited them to zero serious chances and just bits and pieces from outside the box.
“We are so solid defensively, we are not presenting any opportunities in the box. It doesn’t matter that our best defender is out injured in Romero.
“We are still going away to places like Forest and getting clean sheets, getting the job done. That’s almost nine and a half hours of Davinson Sanchez being on the pitch and not conceding a goal.

“To me, it was another incredible away performance. It could have been three or four nil. There was Kane’s penalty miss, how rarely does that happen?
“Sonny could have had one, Spence and Richalison also came close so it was nearly an emphatic win.”
