Tottenham expert ‘concerned’ by what he’s just seen at Arsenal
John Wenham has been concerned by the manner in which Arsenal beat Sevilla on Saturday (30 July).
Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels was left stunned by the Gunnersโ end to pre-season.
Arsenal beat Chelsea 4-0 during their last pre-season game in America (24 July) and beat Sevilla 6-0 during their final pre-season game.
New signing Gabriel Jesus scored a hattrick while a brace from Bukayo Saka and an Eddie Nketiah strike rounded off the scoring.
The Gunners narrowly lost out on a Champions League place last season after losing two of their last three Premier League games, including a North London Derby.
Wenham is now concerned after Spurs failed to beat Sevilla during their own pre-season clash.
โI have a concern with the way Arsenal dispatched Sevilla 6-0,โ Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
โI watched Sevilla about 10 days ago and they gave us one hell of a match. It was a real high-intensity 1-1 draw.
โI thought Sevilla would rock up and roll Arsenal over but Arsenal looked very impressive by all accounts.
โJesus got a load more goals, he seems to score all the time. I am now relying on Palace bringing them back down to earth at Selhurst Park on Friday night.โ

Arsenal face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in the opening game of the new Premier League season on Friday (5 July).
The Gunners lost the same fixture 3-0 last season.
