Tottenham expert demands ‘radical change’ after ’embarrassing’ Hotspur Way development
There must be radical change in the Tottenham Under-21 side after a “depressing” start to the season.
That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
On Saturday (15 October), Tottenham’s Under 21 side lost 4-1 to Wolves Under 21s.
Spurs found themselves 3-0 down inside 13 minutes and 4-0 down after 35 minutes.
Jaden Williams’ first-half stoppage time goal was the only positive on a dismal afternoon for the youth side, who are yet to win a game this season.
Wenham has been left fuming with the development squad’s progress.
“It’s just depressing if I am being honest,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“We were three down inside 13 minutes. There are some good players in that team, there really are. It’s a real shame the way this season is going.
“Nine games played, no wins in the Premier League 2. There are a lot of things going on behind the scenes at Tottenham so I would expect a radical change in January.
“I expect a far different second half of the season and that needs to be the case because the results just aren’t there at the moment.
“Last year we did fantastically well I just think there is an imbalance this year. Wolves aren’t even a category-one academy club.
“It’s embarrassing, it really is.”

Tottenham’s Under-21s are next in action against Fulham’s Under 21s on Saturday (22 October).
The side sit second bottom of their Premier League 2 division.
