Tottenham expert drops ‘big’ Harry Kane claim after source’s ‘jaw-dropping’ reveal

Big wages will not be a factor in Harry Kane’s decision as to whether to stay at Tottenham.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Spurs defender Alan Hutton said Kane will be on decent money wherever he goes and has more important considerations for his future career.

The 29-year-old has entered the final year of his contract and has been heavily linked with a move away from the London club this summer.

Earlier this month (8 July), Football Insider revealed that the England international has been offered a “jaw-dropping” new contract that would improve upon his current £200,000-a-week wages and make him one of the Premier League’s highest paid players.

Kane has been the subject of interest from Bayern Munich who have already seen one bid for the star striker rejected as Spurs chiefs hold out for a fee of around £100million.

When asked if the goalscorer could be convinced to stay in London with the promise of big wages, Hutton told Football Insider:If we are talking about one of the biggest wage packets in the league, we are talking about big big money when you think of some of the superstars at Man City and what they will be earning.

You really need to weigh it up, does he want to win trophies or does he want to go and secure his family’s family moving forward.

Of course it helps if he has been offered a four or five year deal on tremendous money.

He has already earned a lot of money, wherever he goes he will be on big wages so I do not really see that being a factor.

Personally, he wants to win things and break records. I think this is going to drag on for a number of weeks. I am not 100 per cent sure he will stay, I think it is 50/50.
