Tottenham expert fears ‘phenomenal blow’ after Richarlison update today
A long-term injury to Richarlison would be a “phenomenal blow” for the player and for Tottenham.
That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
As per the Evening Standard on Monday (17 October) Richarlison, 25, will have a scan on his ankle after he pulled up during Tottenham’s 2-0 win over Everton on Saturday (15 October).

The Brazilian was in tears after picking up the injury with the World Cup just six weeks away.
Wenham is urging fans to not read into the multiple differing reports from Brazilian outlets and instead to wait for word from the club.
“I don’t want to comment too much on this yet as we haven’t had anything official,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I expect we will hear something rather soon. There were some reports from Brazilian media, firstly that he was still in tears while doing an interview after the game.
“Secondly, he is worried he has popped something, the same injury he had at Everton that kept him out for two months.
“There was also another report half an hour later that he just had an initial fear that something might not be right, so we will have to wait and see.
“It would be a phenomenal blow for us and for him.”

Richarlison has scored two goals in 13 total appearances for Tottenham since his move from Everton in the summer.
However, he is yet to score a Premier League goal for the club.
In other news, a Tottenham idol is ‘surprised’ by what he’s seen from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
