Tottenham expert: Harry Kane to reject Bayern & PSG offers and ‘stay’

Paris Saint-Germain could enter the race for Tottenham star Harry Kane.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Spurs defender Alan Hutton suggested the French giants have the financial backing to meet Daniel Levy’s asking price for Kane.

The 29-year-old has entered the final year of his contract with the Lilywhites and has been the subject of interest this summer, with Bayern Munich pushing hard for his signature.

The German giants have already seen bids rejected for the forward with Levy believed to be holding out for a fee of £100million, despite clubs being able to sign him for nothing next summer.

According to ESPN (17 July), PSG are prepared to enter the race for the England international and are believed to have been in contact with his agent for a number of weeks.

The Ligue 1 champions are believed to be keen to add another striker to their ranks this summer.

Hutton said that although the money won’t be an issue, Kane will not be convinced by the French club.

I think they have got the financial backing to do it so I do not see that being a problem,” he told Football Insider.

Would Kane want to go and play in the French league? The Bundesliga seems a little bit stronger to me.

Bayern are an iconic football team. PSG have obviously got superstars but it seems to me a little bit of a circus at times.

Does he want to be part of that? I am not so sure. I can tell you, there is something in me that feels he just wants to stay in England.”
