Tottenham expert: Heung-Min Son ‘definitely’ out of Liverpool clash – ‘I understand…’

Heung-Min Son will not be able to feature when Tottenham take on Liverpool this Sunday (6 November).

That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Son, 30, was taken off after a head-on-head collision with Chancel Mbemba during Spurs’ 2-1 win over Marseille on Wednesday.

UEFA competitions have not yet introduced concussion substitutions so it was unclear if, as Wenham fears, the attacker has suffered a concussion.

If Son has suffered a concussion then Wenham insists he will be unable to play against Liverpool as per the FA’s medical guideines.

“Losing Sonny is a blow,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“I understand there are protocols that if you have a concussion then you have to miss the next six days so that will be a blow and it will definitley rule him out of that Liverpool game.

“I’ll be honest, the important game was last night (v Marseille). We have two league games before the World Cup, Liverpool and Leeds United at home, last night was the important one.

“It gives us something to build on and it gives us impetus for the second half of the season
