Tottenham expert issues ‘crazy’ claim after ‘full-on mass brawl’ at Hotspur Way
The Tottenham Under-21s turned in a much-improved performance during an eventful clash against Arsenal at the weekend.
That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Tottenham’s Under-21 drew 0-0 with Arsenal’s Under-21s in a youth version of the North London derby last weekend (8 October).
However, the game’s talking points came in the final moments as Jamie Donley and Kallum Cesay were both shown straight red cards.
Wenham was delighted with what he saw during the game.
“Our Under 21s drew 0-0 with Arsenal at Hotspur Way and we were much, much, better this week,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“We were aggressive from minute one in the style of a proper North London derby. I was really pleased that Alfie Devine was handed his first start after his return from injury.
“I just thought we were brilliant but the big thing everyone is talking about is that the game ended with two red cards in added time.
“There was a brawl started by Jamie Donley going in for an aggressive tackle. It lead to a full-on mass brawl basically.
“The game was done by then. Actually, what was crazy was that the goalkeeper came up to take a free-kick well out of his box and we came close to scoring with nine men on the pitch.
“It was a much better performance from Tottenham and I was very pleased by that.”

Tottenham’s Under-21s are yet to win in the Premier League 2 this season.
They are next in action against Wolves’ Under-21s on Saturday (15 October).
