Tottenham expert issues ‘massive’ Harry Kane verdict as new details emerge
Alan Hutton has insisted it is “massively important” for Tottenham to keep Harry Kane available.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs right-back said Kane will be happy to forget about the World Cup and be back focussing on the Premier League.
As reported by football.london (24 December), the 29-year-old is one yellow card away from a one-match suspension.
According to the FA, any player who accumulates five bookings before the cut-off point of 19 matches will have to serve an automatic one-match ban.
The Lilywhites have played 16 league games so far this season and their 19th will be the visit of London rivals Arsenal at which Kane will be a key player.
Hutton insisted Antonio Conte’s side need the striker in every game.
“It is massively important,” he told Football Insider.
“You see how much they rely on him. He will be happy to put that World Cup miss to bed and move forward.

“They need him on the pitch, they will not want to lose him. They still have Richarlison to come back and he can play that number nine role. But they still rely heavily on Kane so they will want him for the upcoming games.
“But I do not think it will change anything. They will not rest him, he will play all the minutes and they will just hope that he does not pick up that yellow card.“
