Tottenham expert issues ‘unbelievable’ Heung-Min Son claim as footage analysed

Heung-Min Son’s “brilliant” form for South Korea will ultimately benefit Tottenham when the domestic season resumes.

That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Son, 30, grabbed the assist for Hwang Hee-Chan’s late winner against Portugal on Friday (2 December) as South Korea progressed to the knockout stages of the World Cup.

The Spurs man will once again captain his side when they face Brazil on Monday (5 December).

Wenham hopes Son’s moment of magic can spark a new run of form.

“I really want to give a shoutout to Sonny because has taken a fair bit of criticism so far this season,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“It had been levelled at him that he hadn’t really had a decisive moment at this World Cup but his assist for that late goal was typically unbelievable.

“The way he just picked it up and dribbled past so many players without losing the ball, then he made that kind of Harry Kane pass, it was brilliant to see.

“I am so pleased for him. When they lost to Ghana, one of the Ghana staff members was very quick to run up and take a selfie with him so I’m glad he got a bit of revenge for that.

“Hopefully this is the start of something for Sonny.”

Son has scored three Premier League games this season after starting 12 of Spurs’ 14 games.

He has also scored a further two goals in the Champions League.

In other news, a young Tottenham attacker has arrived at his new club after being told to leave.
