Tottenham expert lambasts Arsenal fans as social media ‘myth’ debunked – ‘it’s just not true’

Tottenham will have the last laugh this season with Arsenal set for a reality check in their next two games.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Tottenham lost 3-1 to Arsenal on Saturday (1 October) as their unbeaten Premier League record came to an end.

Spurs, who were sent down to ten men just after the hour mark, struggled to lay a glove on the hosts with their only concrete chance coming through a converted Harry Kane penalty.

Wenham has been left fuming amid fresh criticism of Antonio Conte from rival fans on social media.

“I’m sorry, when Royal is doing stupid things like that, I’m not sure what else you can do,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“This is a manager who, before that game, we had lost once since April. We have now lost our first game of the season.

“I also hear this myth spread around on social media, mostly by Arsenal fans, that we don’t play attractive football. It’s just not true.

“Going into the game, we had scored more Premier League goals than them this season, that’s a fact. There were six goals in our last fixture before we played Arsenal.

“I am a bit confused by this story. After yesterday’s game Arsenal, who are top of the league, have only scored one more league goal than us.

“They now face Liverpool and Man City so we will see who’s laughing then. We will also see who is on top after 38 games, it will be Tottenham, for me.

“It’s a long season.”
