Tottenham expert names starting XI v Arsenal after Dejan Kulusevski latest – ‘we have a totally different team this time’

Ben Davies will be restored to the Tottenham starting XI for Saturday’s (1 October) clash against Arsenal.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Davies, 29, missed the most recent round of international fixtures through injury while Dejan Kulusevski returned from his two weeks with a fresh knock, as per the Standard (29 September).

Wenham also claims Ivan Perisic will be given another start ahead of Ryan Sessegnon.

“We have a totally different team going to the Emirates this time around,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“The best thing is that we have supplemented the team that beat Arsenal 3-0 at the end of last season with the signings of Richarlison, Perisic and Bissouma.

“I am hoping we can go in and put a performance in. Too many times I have been down there and I have found myself wanting to leave at half-time.

“We have already gone to our other two rivals this season and come away unbeaten. It would be a massive, massive statement to win.

“I would take a 1-1 if it was offered, keep the unbeaten record and you have to remember we have a poor record at the Emirates, they hate us down there.

“I’ve already said I think Lloris will be in there. Dier, Davies and Romero should be in there, then it has to be Royal and Perisic at wing-back, it has to be. You can’t be starting Sessegnon in this game.

“Hojbjerg and Bentancur in the middle then I would go Kane, Son and Kulusevski upfront. That’s if all of them come back from international duty without injury, at the moment it is looking good, if one of them does pick up a knock then obviously Richarlison comes in.
