Tottenham expert rages at ‘unfair’ Harvey White development – ‘I can’t comprehend…’
Tottenham are stagnating Harvey White’s career after he failed to leave the club on loan this summer.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
White, 20, last featured regularly at senior level during the 2020-21 season, spending the latter half of that campaign on loan at Portsmouth.
Wenham is furious that White was not afforded a loan move this summer.
“I want to have a massive moan about loans, I have been chomping at the bit to say this,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“People have said to me that we need to keep players for the youth Champions League. It’s an Under 19 tournament so every player I wanted to go out on loan can’t play in it anyway, bar one.
“Why are Tottenham keeping them around? Potentially two more Papa John’s Trophy games and then the Premier League 2.
“In that competition, you sometimes have three weeks without any matches, you then have other weeks where you play three times. It is an utter mess of a competition.
“Speak to any player, parent or agent, they will tell you that the league is just going through the motions.
“The Under 18s league is different, that is competitive. Teams put out their best players. The Under 21s league is a complete and utter waste of time.
“We are now stagnating the development of Harvey White. Last January, Hull and other big clubs asked for him on loan and Tottenham said no.
“I understood it at that time, the selfish reasons. He sat on the first-team bench 20 times last season and didn’t make an appearance.

“What on earth is he being kept around for this time? We signed six players this summer, he won’t feature, he won’t get on the bench.
“It’s not fair on him. For many, he is already ready. I can’t comprehend it.“
