Tottenham expert raves over Clement Lenglet after source’s update – ‘I’m really excited’
The signing of Clement Lenglet is a no-brainer for Tottenham with a medical reportedly underway.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
On Thursday (30 June) a Spurs source told Football Insider that an agreement has been reached with Barcelona for the loan of defender Lenglet.

The North London club have agreed to pay a loan fee of more than £4million for the 27-year-old France international, who has been identified to slot into the left-sided centre-back role in Antonio Conte’s favoured back three.
Wenham is delighted by this deal as it gives Spurs the chance to reassess their options in the summer of 2023.
“This one is looking like it is going to happen,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“To me, he ticks a lot of boxes for Tottenham. He has a lot of experience in the Champions League and he can cover two positions.
“He has experience of playing at a big club as well as with Hugo Lloris while away with France. We also aren’t paying much for him at all.
“The move is an utter no-brainer thanks to it being a loan. If it works out then we can look at a permanent deal next summer.
“If it doesn’t work out then we can simply send him back to Barcelona. Obviously, we did try to get Bastoni and it looks like Gvardiol isn’t available.
“By signing someone like this, it gives us the chance to assess our options next summer and gives us a chance to work on those two other deals for another 12 months.
“Personally, I’m really excited about the deal.”

Lenglet made 27 appearances for Barca during the 2021-22 season.
He has made 160 total appearances for the club.
