Tottenham expert shares ‘£50m’ Kalvin Phillips transfer prediction after confirmed news
Tottenham should not sign Kalvin Phillips this summer as Oliver Skipp could become a better player than him.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
As per The Telegraph (20 April), Conte is “a fan” of Leeds star Phillips, 26.

However, that report claims it is unlikely Daniel Levy will match what Man United could offer the midfielder this summer.
On 20 April, it was also announced Skipp, 21, has signed a new deal, keeping him at Tottenham until 2027.
Wenham doesn’t want to see a player like Phillips take minutes off Skipp.
“Don’t get me wrong, Kalvin Phillips is a brilliant player,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“But it would kind of be counter-intuitive to what Tottenham look to be doing with Oliver Skipp.
“He has just signed a new long-term deal and he’s clearly going to be a big part of that midfield when he is fit.
“I would not want Phillips coming in and taking minutes off Oliver Skipp, that’s the point I want to make.
“I think there is a higher ceiling on Skipp than Phillips and he’s sort of more of the same.
“And how much would he cost? £50million? More? MOney needs to be spent elsewhere.
“If we are going to sign a midfielder it should be someone who has more attacking attributes.”

Skipp spent last season on loan at Norwich and helped Daniel Farke’s side win the Championship at a canter.
He has made 51 senior appearances for Spurs.
