Tottenham expert shares ‘huge’ Richarlison claims amid ‘phenomenal blow’

Tottenham star Richarlison will ultimately benefit with Gabriel Jesus possibly suffering a long-term injury.

That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Richarlison, 25, has starred for Brazil in their group games at the World Cup against Serbia, in which he scored twice, and Switzerland.

However, he was rested for Friday’s (2 December) game against Cameroon, in which Jesus picked up his injury.

Wenham insists Richarliosn will benefit from this development while away with Brazil and also when he returns to Spurs.

“He has completely established himself as the first choice if he hadn’t already done that before the start of the tournament,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“The manager seems to really like him through the middle and obviously he got the two goals in the opening game.

“They rested players for the Cameroon game so he got the night off while the Arsenal boys played and one of them has subsequently picked up a bad injury.

“I have seen reports that he might be out for up to three months. That would be huge for a number of reasons, chief among them being that would obviously be a phenomenal blow to Arsenal considering their start to the season.

“But for Richarlison, it just means more game time while everyone else is injured. I think they will go far so the more players we have vying for that World Cup trophy the better.”

Jesus, 25, came off against Cameroon in the 64th minute.

The Arsenal man has featured in all three of Brazil’s group games but the Cameroon game marked his first start in the competition.

In other news, one expert has been left baffled by Tottenham fans after a ‘surprise’ Rodrigo Bentancur development.
