Tottenham expert shares ‘huge’ Weston McKennie transfer verdict
Tottenham should not attempt to sign USMNT midfielder Weston McKennie in January.
That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
On 15 November Tutto Mercato Web reported McKennie, 24, could be sold in January with Tottenham one of the clubs interested in signing him.

Several Juventus players have been linked with a move to Spurs following the arrival of former Juve chief Fabio Pararici at the club in the summer of 2021.
However, Wenham claims Spurs should not make an attempt to sign the midfielder.
“I have to say I wasn’t too impressed with McKennie based on what I have seen from him at this World Cup,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Tottenham already have four really good midfielders and you have to say the preferred choice is Bentancur and Hojoberg.
“So you wonder where another midfielder comes in. I don’t see it myself. We have Bissouma, Hojbjerg, Skipp and Bentancur.
We don’t need anyone else in my opinion. I don’t see Weston McKennie there making a huge difference to what we already have.
“Look at who we have and where we need to improve. Our midfield is fine but maybe the attack need a bit of help.

“It’s not the strikers who need help at the moment.”
