Tottenham expert shares Ivan Perisic claim pre-Wolves after what he’s seen
Ivan Perisic may be given his first Tottenham start against Wolves.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
None of Tottenham’s seven summer signings have started in the Premier League this season though Richarlison, Clement Lenglet, Ivan Perisic and Yves Bissouma have all come off the bench.
Wenham expects it will be a while before all of these players are fully integrated.
“I definitely hope and think Perisic will start the Wolves game,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He has had two cameos from the bench and from what I have seen I think he is more than ready to start the game. THat would be the only change for now.
“Hojbjerg was fantastic against Chelsea, he is a very, very underrated player. I love him. I have said many times, he takes a lot of unnecessary stick.
“I still think it will be a number of weeks before we say and major changes to that midfield. Skipp is still coming back from injury as well so there is another option.
“If results keep going well then I don’t see too much of a need to change. That need will come when we start playing two or three games a week, when the Champions League starts.”

Perisic got the assist as Spurs secured a last-gasp 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge on Sunday (14 August).
Tottenham face Wolves in the early kick-off on Saturday (20 August).
