Tottenham expert shares ‘massive’ Ivan Perisic prediction after ‘amazing’ development
Ivan Perisic’s “amazing” form at the World Cup will inspire Tottenham to hit new heights in the second half of the season.
That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Perisic, 33, has been a standout player for Croatia at the Qatar World Cup, starting all five of his country’s games on their road to the semi-finals.
The versatile left-sided attacker has scored once and provided two assists at the tournament, carrying on from his excellent start to the season with Spurs.
Wenham is delighted to see Perisic performing well and can’t wait to see him continue his form when he returns to N17.
“His header against Japan was really his moment of the tournament, it was an absolute bullet,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“It was fantastic for Perisic to score and get that win following Tomiyasu’s comments in the buildup to the game. He managed to keep him very quiet.
“Perisic absolutely dominated in that game and I believe the goal made him Croatia’s all-time leading goalscorer at major tournaments ahead of the legendary Davor Suker.
“That’s a massive achievement in itself and I am sure he will return to Tottenham with the highest confidence and continue his good start.
“He will be an inspiration to some of the players I’m sure, he has had an amazing few weeks.”

Perisic signed for Tottenham on a free in the summer of 2022 after his Inter Milan contract expired.
He has so far made 21 appearances for the club, registering seven assists in those outings.
