Tottenham expert tips promotion for ‘brilliant’ Jamie Donley as transfer plans revealed
Jamie Donely will remain at Tottenham next season instead of being sent out on loan.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Donely, 17, has scored 12 goals in 13 Premier League 2 games this season as well as providing six assists.
He signed his first professional deal in January after signing as a full-time scholar in the summer of 2021.
Wenham claims Donley will have the chance to impress in the Under 23s next season with that side’s current strikers set to go out on loan.
“Next year, I imagine Jamie will be the Under 23s’ main striker,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“What will happen is Kion Etete and Troy Parrott will go back out on loan next season.
“I also think Dane Scarlett will get a loan move in the summer and that will leave Donley at the club.
“That’s what is best for all players. Those guys need those loans, preferably up a division.
“Donley needs to be the main man because he has been brilliant this season.
“I’m looking forward to seeing him play a full season at that level.”

On 6 October, The Guardian named Donley as Tottenham’s best first-year scholar in their annual list of top young talents.
Donley has not yet made his mind up over his international allegiance and currently alternates between England and Northern Ireland.
