Tottenham fans agree with Tim Sherwood about player after on-air swipe – ‘Another example of the club having no clue’

Tottenham supporters all agree that the club has made one mistake after former manager Tim Sherwood spoke out on one player.

The north London club sit fifth in the Premier League table during the international break, eight points behind leaders Arsenal.

Spurs’ 2-2 draw against Man United last time out was two late points dropped for Thomas Frank’s side, with forward Randal Kolo Muani picking up an injury.

The attack has been a slight concern for Frank, with Dominic Solanke consistently struggling with injuries and Richarlison out of form.

Spurs may regret Troy Parrott sale

Former Spurs striker Troy Parrott has been a conversation among fans during the international break after the 23-year-old scored five goals in two games, including a brace against Portugal and a hat-trick against Hungary for Ireland.

Speaking on Sky Sports, [17 November], Sherwood stated: “I’ve got to question anyone who decided to let him go.”

On social media, fans were in agreement with Sherwood that the club let Parrott go too early in his career, and did not give the striker a true chance at the club.

One fan said: “Parrott’s story is exactly why patience matters. Spurs let him go too early.”

Another agreed: “Parrott’s proving every doubter wrong sometimes the talent just needs a real chance.

Spurs always find new ways to mess up their academy kids,” one fan believes.

One supporter wants the club to re-sign Parrott, who currently plays for AZ Alkmaar: “The more I see Spurs with no striker and Troy Parrott, club trained, just getting better and better, yeah go activate that cut price deal, man.

Parrott never got a real chance at Spurs. They brought him up, talked about his talent, then left him on the bench. You cannot judge a young player if you never trust him with minutes. Now he is proving himself elsewhere, and it only makes the decision look worse,” a fan posted.

Incredible player Troy Parrott Spurs will regret this,” one fan commented.

Parrott subject of transfer interest

Parrott was wanted by Wolves in the summer transfer window, but the Irishman decided to stay in the Netherlands.

Amid his form at club and international level, Premier League sides are now exploring moves for Parrott, and keeping an eye on his progress.

The striker may want a chance to prove himself in the Premier League having made just four appearances for Spurs’ first team.
