Tottenham fans are ‘very aggressive’ about Arsenal situation after bust-up
Tottenham are enduring another disappointing season in the Premier League following their miserable recent form.
Tottenham were beaten 2-1 by struggling West Ham on Saturday (17 January), with Callum Wilson grabbing an injury-time winner.
A group of Spurs fans protested against their owners before the London derby as they displayed banners with the message “time for change”.
Tottenham are majority owned by ENIC, with former chairman Daniel Levy and members of his family holding a 29.88 per cent share in the British investment company, and Joe Lewis’s family trust owning the remaining 70.12 per cent.
Lewis’s daughter Vivienne, his son Charles and Nick Beucher, the husband of Vivienne’s daughter, have become more actively involved in the running of Tottenham over the past few months.

Why Tottenham are ‘all over the place’ as transfer plans analysed
Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider Tottenham are well placed to agree more signings following the addition of Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid this month.
Spurs currently sit 14th in the Premier League table following a difficult few months under Thomas Frank.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the fan protests, Borson said: “Well, things aren’t going to improve quickly because nothing’s really changed. I mean, it takes time for changes to flow through.
“They’ve not had a chance to spend any money. This is the first window in which they’ve been able to. I think anything that they wanted to do anyway is offset by a spate of injuries, which means that the squad is all over the place right now.
“I would think Gallagher will make a difference. I think there is capacity for more deals, especially after they sold Brennan Johnson. That just signalled that they were going to churn the squad.”
How Arsenal’s success is impacting Tottenham fans
Borson insisted Arsenal’s strong performances this season will be having an impact on Tottenham fans, with Mikel Arteta’s side currently sitting seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
“The fans are obviously going to be annoyed with Arsenal top of the league and probably going to win the league,” said Borson.
“They also have five years of investment and looking like they know what they’re doing, so of course, Spurs are going to be very aggressive about this situation, especially given where they’re in the league.

“Look, none of this is a surprise. It’s early days. They’re just going to end up spending more money over the next few years and then they’ll have to see whether it makes a difference or not.”
Tottenham secured a 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Tuesday (20 January), potentially buying Frank more time to turn things around in north London.
