‘Shocker’, ‘So lazy’ – Tottenham fans fume over star man’s performance v Manchester United

Tottenham fans turned to social media to blast the performance of star man Christian Eriksen in their clash with Manchester United on Saturday.
The Danish midfielder retained his place in the starting XI as Spurs fell to a 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford, but he did not demonstrate his usual creativity from midfield.
Anthony Martial’s second half strike, latching on to a Romelu Lukaku header, was enough to separate the two sides, with Eriksen having struggled on a wet pitch.
Fans were less than impressed with what they saw from the international playmaker in the North West and took to Twitter to demonstrate their frustrations.

Eriksen has been a key part of the Tottenham squad since his arrival from Dutch giants Ajax in 2013, having gone on to score 45 goals and chip in with a further 63 assists in his 191 appearances.
The 73-time-capped Danish international has appeared in all but two of the club’s 14 games across all competitions this season, including every one of their league matches, with three goals and four assists to his name so far.
