Tottenham fans will be ‘over the moon’ after Mauricio Pochettino update – pundit
Tottenham fans will be “over the moon” to see Mauricio Pochettino return to the club if Antonio Conte were to depart, according to Noel Whelan.
The former Leeds striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the 50-year-old is a better manager than when he departed Spurs previously.
According to The Times (24 April), Conte is interested in replacing Pochettino at the Parc des Princes as his job comes under increasing threat.

Get French Football News report (24 April) that chairman Daniel Levy has maintained contact with the former Spurs boss and will try and lure him back to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Pochettino departed the north London club in November 2019, just months after losing in the Champions League final against Liverpool.
Whelan insisted Tottenham wouldn’t be able to find a better replacement for Conte.
He told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury: “That love affair is still there, isn’t it?
“He should have stayed in the first place. His sacking wasn’t beneficial to the club at all, they were headed in the right direction before that.
“He’s a top man-manager, a brilliant tactician – it was a surprise for most people when he left Tottenham, to be frank.
“But he’s got better. He’s improved his skills even further, he’s won silverware – and Tottenham would be getting a better Pochettino.
“I think the fans would be over the moon to have him back. You couldn’t get a better replacement for Conte if they tried.”

Tottenham sit fifth in the Premier League with five games remaining.
Pochettino won 160 of his 293 games during his five years in charge at Spurs.
