Tottenham handed major boost in agreeing ‘£60m’ Pedro Neto deal – sources

Tottenham target Pedro Neto is keen to play Champions League football if he is to leave Wolves this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Football Insider revealed on Monday (11 March) that Liverpool and Spurs are among the top sides weighing up a swoop for the 24-year-old winger.

Sources say Arsenal, Man City and Newcastle are also keen on the Portugal international.

It is believed the Midlands club are not likely to stand in Neto’s way if their valuation is met this summer – with Financial Fair Play rules still a big concern at Molineux.

Football Insider has previously revealed (12 February) that Wolves are looking for bids of between £50-60million for the ex-Lazio star.

Tottenham told how to get ‘huge edge’ in Neto race this summer

However, sources say that qualifying for the Champions League will give clubs a “huge edge” in the race for Neto’s signature.

It is believed the player is keen to test himself at the highest possible level and even push to win the Premier League in the future.

Tottenham took a huge step towards a top-four finish on Sunday (10 March) by beating Aston Villa 4-0 away from home.

Neto has notched three goals and 11 assists across 23 games in all competitions this term and is under a long-term contract valid until June 2027.

Arsenal previously explored a deal for the winger in 2022 and are now ready to do battle with several other top Premier League sides, including Spurs, this summer.
