Tottenham handed ‘massive boost’ after confirmed Premier League news – expert
Tottenham have been handed a “massive boost” after their Premier League clash against Leicester City was moved.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
On Saturday (16 April), it was announced Tottenham’s clash against Leicester, due to be played on 30 April, will now be played on 1 May.
This is due to the Foxes’ progression in the Europa Conference League.
Their game against Spurs is now sandwiched between two clashes against Jose Mourinho’s Roma.
Wenham claims Tottenham will be facing a heavily rotated Leicester when they face off in May.
“I think it’s a massive boost,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“This is a semi-final against Roma. I think they will heavily rotate when they play us as a result of that.
“Last year they came with a very different team because they had a real injury crisis.
“We battered them and went 3-0 inside about 20 minutes. Hopefully that happens again.
“You think Leicester would go full strength in Europe so that can only be good news for us.”
Leicester progressed after a dramatic late comeback against PSV Eindhoven on Thursday (14 April).

Tottenham also played in the Europa Conference League this season but were unable to progress past the group stage.
Spurs are next in action against Brentford on Saturday (23 April).
In other news, Kevin Campbell has named the three Tottenham players who will clinch their top-four finish ahead of Arsenal.
