Tottenham offered ‘excellent’ Kane replacement – ‘conversations to be had’, says expert
Paul Robinson has heaped praise on Barcelona forward Memphis Depay amid interest from Tottenham.
However, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one said a Spurs move for the 28-year-old would only make sense if Harry Kane departed.
Depay is about to enter the final six months of his contract at the Nou Camp and a recruitment source has told Football Insider he is being offered to top Premier League clubs by intermediaries.

Premier League clubs will be able to speak to the Netherlands international regarding a pre-contract from 1 January.
According to the Daily Mail (17 December), Barcelona’s Memphis Depay has been offered to the north London club.
When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on the potential signing of Depay, Robinson said: “Depay is a very good player.
“He is a completely different one to the one who left Man United all those years ago. He is an excellent striker. His pace would give Spurs another dimension.
“The only thing is, where does he play? Harry Kane starts if he is fit and if he’s not Richarlison plays. We have seen what he can do through the middle with Brazil at the World Cup. Depay will not want to be a squad player at this stage of his career.

“I do not think Depay is needed right now. But, if Kane was to leave then there is a conversation to be had about Depay.
“At the moment though, I cannot see that one happening. The team set-up does not allow for two strikers. The manager doesn’t play that way. I just cannot see that one working unless Kane leaves.”
In other news, Tottenham have been backed to sell a star and sign Stefan de Vrij after source’s update.
