Kieran Maguire: Tottenham have just sparked deluge of ‘sales’ amid ‘god-like’ Son Heung-min claim
New Tottenham partners Tumi are set to experience a “spike in sales” thanks to their tie-in with both the club and superstar Son Heung-min.
That is the view of finance guru Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Spurs’ latest commercial deal.
The Londoners will play a K League XI and Sevilla in their upcoming tour of Son’s homeland, South Korea.
The club announced last Friday (1 July) that they have agreed a deal with luggage brand Tumi to sponsor the tour.
Son is an ambassador for the company and featured heavily in the promotional material for the announcement.
The 29-year-old forward skippers the South Korean national team, for whom he recently passed 100 caps.
Maguire anticipates that Tumi will see a boost in business as a result of their link-up with Tottenham and Son.
“Son is god-like in South Korea,” he told Football Insider’s Adam Williams.
“This will allow Spurs to extract further revenue from Tumi because Son is very much the face of the Spurs brand in South Korea.
“He is also a brand in his own right, which is why he is an ambassador for Tumi.
“To have those to dovetail does make it a very attractive proposition. The sponsor will be looking for a spike in sales off the back of this.”

Son shared the 2021-22 Premier League Golden Boot with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.
He registered 24 goals and 10 assists in 45 appearances.
