Tottenham hit by dressing room unrest after ‘calls for Thomas Frank to be sacked’
Tottenham are fearful of growing dressing room unrest with a number of major concerns contributing to a negative atmosphere amid pressure on Thomas Frank.
That is according to former Tottenham and Man United senior scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected at his previous clubs, as he exclusively told Football Insider that there are multiple issues brewing behind the scenes at Spurs.

Meanwhile, reports claimed Tottenham players were unhappy that Brennan Johnson was sold to Crystal Palace as he was a popular figure in the dressing room.
These issues, alongside their disappointing form and growing frustration among Tottenham fans who are calling for Frank’s sacking, have led to a toxic atmosphere.

Tottenham fear growing dressing room unrest
Brown warned Football Insider on 5 January that Frank could be sacked by Tottenham if results do not turn around, with increasing calls for his dismissal.
The former scout, who has a wealth of experience working closely alongside elite-level managers including Sir Alex Ferguson for over a decade at Man United, insisted that the growing unrest could result in a difficult decision being made.
“There’s a lot of negativity around Tottenham at the moment,” he told Football Insider.
“The fans aren’t happy, they’re calling for the manager to be sacked, Frank has come out and said he is not happy with the way things have gone either.
“Then you read and hear little things about issues behind the scenes, the players aren’t happy that Johnson has left or with the style of play or whatever it is.
“These are all major concerns and they all add up and contribute to what can quickly become at toxic atmosphere at the club.
“They ought to be wary about this type of thing because if you have unrest in the dressing room it can lead to all sorts of problems.
“It’s something that has to be addressed and resolved however they see fit before it gets worse.”
Thomas Frank sack update emerges at Tottenham
Brown told Football Insider on 22 December that Tottenham are reluctant to sack Frank and hope he will lead a long-term project despite a slow start.
However, there is a growing feeling amongst the Spurs hierarchy that they may have made a mistake in appointing the former Brentford boss given their recent results.
This follows the events of an extraordinary Monday in which Man United and Celtic sacked their managers, just days after Enzo Maresca left Chelsea.

Tottenham drew 1-1 with Sunderland last time out, and have won just seven league games all season, while the style of play has been heavily criticised by fans.
Football Insider revealed on 3 December that Frank’s position at Tottenham is safe at least until the new year, but results must turn around quickly if he is to secure his role.
