Tottenham ‘hugely worried’ about Harry Kane after ‘treatment’ update – pundit
Harry Kane’s injury record is “a huge worry” for Tottenham.
That is according to former White Hart Lane number one Paul Robinson, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the knock the 28-year-old sustained in Saturday’s 3-2 win over Manchester City.
Kane scored twice in a man of the match display at the Etihad.
The England captain went down clutching his back in the latter stages of the thrilling clash but managed to finish the game.
According to Football.London‘s Alasdair Gold (20 February), Kane was “limping heavily” when conducting post-match interviews.
Gold added, via his YouTube channel, that the striker “needed quite a bit of treatment” but remained confident that is was just “an impact injury.”
When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his thoughts on the knock, Robinson said: “It’s always a worry for Spurs when Harry Kane picks up a knock or gets injured.
“They rely so heavily on him in that number nine position.
“Let’s be honest, they have never signed real cover for him. Vinicius was alright but nobody has been able to do Kane’s job when he’s not there. They’ve just had to make do whether it be Son or Bergiwjn.
“Whenever Kane gets an injury it is a huge worry for Tottenham.”

Kane has contributed 17 goals and three assists in 34 appearances across all competitions this season.
His contract in north London runs until the summer of 2024.
