Tottenham idol hails Harry Kane decision after behind-the-scenes reveal – ‘it’s working wonders’

Paul Robinson has applauded Tottenham striker Harry Kane for taking the necessary steps to ally his injury troubles.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one said the 29-year-old’s improved routine has been “working wonders” over the past couple of years.

Kane has been relatively injury-free over the past two campaigns, having suffered from numerous ankle problems in the seasons before.

As reported by the Daily Mail‘s Sami Mokbel (25 September), the striker recruited the services of Canadian-based sports medicine specialist Dr Alejandro Elorriaga Claraco.

Elorriaga Claraco flies into London to treat Kane for one week in every month.

Kane has made over 40 appearances across all competitions in back-to-back seasons since enlisting Elorriaga Claraco services.

When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on the news, Robinson said: “Listen, his ankle problems have plagued him for a long time.

“If there is anything he can do in regards to physiotherapy or sports science it is worth doing.

“What he is doing seems to be working wonders. The knocks do not seem to be having the effect that they used to have.

“Perhaps he is strengthening everything around that area. As you get older you become more aware of your own body and what you need to do to get yourself ready for the pitch. You do everything you can.

“He has clearly made a change and it is paying dividends.”
