Tottenham idol issues ‘unbelievable’ Christian Eriksen claim after source’s update
Paul Robinson has tipped Tottenham to re-sign Brentford midfielder Christian Eriksen in the summer window.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one believes the 30-year-old would leave Thomas Frank’s side to return to Spurs.
Eriksen impressed for Brentford in a goalless draw with Antonio Conte’s side on Saturday.

A recruitment source told Football Insider (17 April) that Tottenham are keeping tabs on Eriksen ahead of a potential free transfer this summer.
It is believed that the Denmark international would be keen on a return to the club where he spent seven years.
When asked for his thoughts on Eriksen’s future, Robinson told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs:
“It would be difficult to go back but he has proved that he is still capable of performing at the top level. When you look at the clubs interested in him now, and we are talking about great clubs, it speaks volumes.
“It is unbelievable that he’s back on the football pitch. They say never go back but I could see it working. Eriksen is better than what they’ve got. He would be a great addition to that squad. It would be great to have him in the dressing room.

“I could see that deal going through and it working. There is obviously an emotional attachment with the club.
“You also have to consider what Brentford have done for him though. The opportunity they gave him. Will there be a loyalty there? It will be interesting but I feel Spurs is one club who could pull him away.”
