Tottenham idol: ‘Questions will be asked’ of Harry Kane amid source’s Hotspur Way reveal today
Paul Robinson has claimed a quick turnaround will help Tottenham striker Harry Kane put his World Cup heartbreak behind him.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one said training and scoring goals will help the 29-year-old recover.
Kane missed a late penalty as England crashed out of the World Cup to France on Saturday (10 December).
Sources have told Football Insider on Friday the striker has been given a week to overcome the heartache of his penalty miss before he returns early next week.
He will then return and prepare himself for the resumption of the domestic calendar.
When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on the situation, Robinson said: “It’s a good thing that he’s just having a week.
“The sooner he gets out on the field and scoring goals the better. He is the type of character who will deal with it.
“Look, it is a situation he will never forget but it will not effect him on the pitch. The sooner he scores and sooner he scores a penalty the better. I bet he is itching to get back out on the field.

“The quick turnaround will be good for him. Have a few days break and then get straight back into training and scoring goals.
“Look, people are going to be talking about him for the next few weeks. He is going to be asked questions about it. Scoring goals will put it to bed though. I’m sure he will put it all behind him when Tottenham are back.”
In other news, Tottenham have a ‘trump card’ in bid to sign world beater in January after source’s update.
