Tottenham idol ‘wowed’ by Richarlison after Antonio Conte reveal

Paul Robinson has heaped praise on Tottenham forward Richarlison after a “top-class” display against Fulham on Saturday.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one claimed the 25-year-old is benefitting from playing with better players at Spurs.

Richarlison starred in a 2-1 win for Antonio Conte’s side over the Cottagers.

As quoted by Football.London (3 September), Conte piled the praise on the Brazilian for his “amazing” display at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Lilywhites manager highlighted how quickly Richarlison has adapted to the way his team plays.

When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his assessment of the Brazil international’s start to life in a Spurs shirt, Robinson said: “Wow, he is looking like a top-class signing.

“I was really impressed with him at the end of last season for Everton. He was playing well in a side that was really struggling. He scored some important goals. When it really mattered, he stood up to be counted.

“Now we are seeing him be better with better players around him. He is getting the service and the interaction. Players are seeing his runs quicker.

“He is looking like a top-class player at the moment. I have no doubt that he is going to prove to be a great signing.”

Richarlison joined Spurs from Everton in a £60million this summer.

He has contributed two assists in his five appearances for the club to date.
