Tottenham insider fumes amid new Antonio Conte claim – ‘I massively disagree on this’

Claims from Arsenal fans that Antonio Conte’s Tottenham are “hard to watch” are unfounded.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Tottenham returned to winning ways with a 1-0 win over Brighton on Saturday (8 October)

That win came on the back of a 0-0 draw away to Frankfurt on Tuesday (4 October) and last weekend’s North London derby loss (1 October).

Those results promoted claims that Tottenham are hard to watch under Conte, something Wenham disagrees with.

“I massively, massively disagree on this,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“The main antagonists of this are Arsenal fans who, until the North London derby, we had scored more goals than their side.

“I really do struggle with those arguments. This is a win away from home at a club who hasn’t lost at home since March.

“We were taking three points back to White Hart Lane, we got a clean sheet down there. Premier League wins are hard to come by, away wins even more so.

“You take them where you can and to get a clean sheet as well is really good work from Tottenham. It was a great afternoon’s work.”

Tottenham are next in action against Frankfurt on Wednesday (12 October).

They then return to Premier League action against Everton on Saturday (15 October).
